More info
We are now presenting in Week 10, rather than Week 7.
We have to present concrete ideas and ways to help staff search the net better for example using stumbleupon or google wonder wheel.
We also need to meet once a fortnight outside of the time we meet on Wednesday mornings! We can arrange a time on Wednesday morning....

Net Safety
We also have to consider net safety and how we can teach this to our kids.
Here is a good website with links to lesson plans and other resources for your classrooms.
http://www.thegrid.org.nz/
We will need to include this sort of stuff in our presentation in Week 7 too.

Hi Sarah, and team. I hope you are all having a wonderful day. I am muddling my way through setting up Blog profile etc etc. When do we have to present our info to the rest of the staff and should it be a powerpoint? (yet another departure from my comfort zone....).
The KKK website appears to have vanished so I can't use that as an example of a decidedly dodgy domain (good alliteration eh!) Anyone know of any others?

Introduction
The purpose of this information literacy professional learning group is to learn tips and tricks for finding valid information on the internet.
We will then teach these tricks to other staff members and the students.
One really good website I've found for information literacy resources is Alan November's November Learning.
